Welcome to Greater Hartford Counseling Center

Meet Our Team

As a counselor, I approach therapy from a unique perspective. I incorporate my skills as a life coach, inspirational speaker, and psychotherapist to make each session fresh and organic.

I have a deep commitment to my client’s holistic well-being and approach them with a deep understanding. My process of therapy creates a container of safety, energy for change, and includes practical steps for finding a new direction in your life. My approach supports you by clearing mental roadblocks and helps you end cycles of self-defeating behavior.  I hope to bring you to a higher level of self-understanding. From my side of things, the intention of the work we do together is to help you get more out of your life.

My philosophy of therapy is grounded in the belief that we each possess an inner wisdom that can lead us to heal. I feel deep empathy and respect for those beginning this process. I believe in the healing power of laughter and feel humor can be used as a counterbalance to the inherent intensity of the therapeutic process.

You hold the key to healing yourself. When you choose to look inside and meet the issues you’re struggling with head-on, you take back your power and, in turn, take back your life. The good news is, you don’t have to go it alone. Working together, we can tackle your issues and develop strategies to help you lead a richer, more fulfilling life.

Supportive Group Counseling

My own life experiences drove me to become a therapist to help others.  My perspective allows me to be empathetic to my client's situation, while at the same time, directing the work we do together. Part of this involves looking at your whole picture—mind, body, and spirit—addressing not just your vulnerabilities, but also your strengths and learning how to use them to your best advantage. You hold the key to healing yourself, and you are your own best resource. I can help you reveal your inner strength.

Whether you’re wrestling with addiction and recovery, dealing with trauma, managing anger, trying to better your relationships, or in the throes of grief; I can walk with you through it.  I won’t pretend to know what you’re feeling. On the other hand, I won’t hesitate to say I understand what you’re going through because more than 14 years of personal and professional experience have brought me to where I am.

No one can tell you what to do or how to do it; you have to figure that out for yourself.  My role is to help guide you on your journey to healing, support you in developing a different perspective, thinking about things differently and, ultimately, making more productive choices.
